INTERIOR DESIGN & STORE INFORMATION

Is it your first time working with an interior designer? Or maybe you had a bad experience with an interior designer in the past and you’re looking for a new outlet. Whatever your reason, it is common to have questions about the interior design process. Here we will do our best to answer our most frequently asked questions regarding interior design and in-store policies.

Why should I hire an Interior Designer?

It might sound crazy, but an interior designer can save you money in the long run! Experienced designers can help you avoid costly mistakes, as in buying a sectional that is too big for your space. If you’re on a tight budget a designer can help you navigate where to spend your money to give you the most bang for your buck. They will also save you time, designers have been through the decorating process countless times and have a game plan already set in place. Besides saving you time and money they will provide you with a professional plan and overall goal that you might not have envisioned in the beginning. Lastly, you’re going to achieve that ‘WOW FACTOR’.

I’ve never used a designer before. What is the process like?

The process is far less scary that you’ve imagined! The interior designers at lulu’s take a laid-back, new age approach to design. We believe it should be fun and reflect the client. The initial meeting takes place in your space. You meet with the designer to discuss your objective, the pieces you wish to purchase, the pieces you wish to get discard and the overall aesthetic you’re wishing to achieve. From there the designer will put together a few proposals they deem will reflect your style the best and be the most functional. After meeting and reviewing their suggestions you discuss what you like and what you don’t like and figure out what is going to make the most sense for your home. At that point, the designer places your order and keeps you up to date on the eta of everything. They will help you schedule delivery, help with the install process and guide you until the project is complete.

Can you make sustainable design recommendations?

At lulu’s we try to work with as many American made companies and sustainable companies. We can help you source sustainable design recommendations from our wide range of vendors.

What is your fee structure for design services?

We begin every project with a free in store consultation. lulu’s designers charge $75 / hour for outside of the store work.

What is your in-store return policy?

5-day return policy on accessories and items must be in original store bought condition with a valid receipt. We will exchange the item or issue an in-store credit which may be used at any time.

Special Orders: Special orders are being ordered to your specifications and may not be canceled without a 30% penalty charge of the total invoice.

Sale Items: All merchandise which is sale priced is considered final sale.

What holidays are you closed for?

We are closed for Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas.

What does "To the trade" mean?

To the trade applies to professionals in the design industry, ie: interior designers, architects and builders. Industry professionals receive designer discounts. To apply for a trade discount please check out our ‘to the trade program’ page, HERE.
