Growing up my parents gutted and rebuilt every house in which we lived, and my brothers and I were commandeered to help. We were surrounded by change, hard work, and design, all of which has helped me to better visualize getting something beautiful from scraps.
I stumbled into this business six years ago when I began helping my mom at our former location. I have found that not only do I truly enjoy “interior design”, but I am not half bad either. The challenge of making pieces work coherently, both new and existing, and then seeing the end result is very gratifying. Though not formally trained, I believe that working in this industry, and having a vast family background in the furniture business, have combined to give me an education better than could have been obtained in a school.
There are several designer choices at lulu’s, and I am by far, the edgiest, in addition to the youngest. My style is bold and unexpected, while staying timeless and functional. I think parts of the store are an excellent reflection of my style, since I am the main person who sets the vignettes, along with ordering items with my mom. I welcome a chance to speak with you and help you to have a space that will welcome you and become your favorite place to be.
